Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Guidelines for viewing properties May 2020
Please see below the Governments new Guidance on how viewings will commence and office visits, this is to ensure the upmost safety and wellbeing of all our clients:
We will check before any viewing or visit if any party has had COVID-19 or shown symptoms, are shielding or clinically vulnerable or are currently self-isolating.
We would ask that you make our agents aware from the initial contact any of the following:
- Are you in the at ‘risk’ category as outlined by government?
- Are you/ anyone in your household symptomatic?
- Have you/anyone in the household previously tested positive and have since recovered?
We will use an appointment system for visits to offices and conducting viewings.
We will not carry out any open house viewings.
If at all possible to carry out viewing properties virtually in the first instance and then only in person if they have a strong and declared interest.
We will accompany viewings, but will keep a minimum of 2 metres apart from others, where this isn’t possible, e.g. in a small space, we would recommend and will consider wearing a face covering.
If we are not accompanying viewings, we will make sure all parties clearly understand how the viewing should be conducted safely.
We are no longer able to drive clients to appointments.
All parties will be required to wash their hands with soap and water (or hand sanitiser if not available) immediately after entering a property. (We will encourage clients to bring their own hand sanitiser to viewings).
Please ensure that surfaces are wiped down and internal doors opened before a viewer enters. Separate towels or paper towels should be used if possible and washed or disposed of safely after use.
We will work with clients and other agents to try and agree a new date if someone involved falls ill, and make sure all keys are cleaned before any handover.
